twenty two, she/her
what is your art form?
theatre.
what do you do and why do you do it?
musicals, write. i do it as a hobby and outlet.
who/what has inspired you in your artistic practice and why?
usually my friends because they’re unbelievably creative and motivated.
what do you think your role is as an artist? has anything stopped you from fulfilling this role?
the role of an artist is to physicalise their perspective of the world. my unwillingness to accept my own views often makes my art be expressed through rose coloured glasses.
what have been the biggest challenges in your artistic journey?
fear of judgement, inability to pursue what i love.
do you believe that good art comes from turmoil and suffering, or is that a romantic notion?
good art comes from suffering because suffering allows the identification of happiness and vice versa.
how do you feel your age impacts your experience as an artist?
my age predicts the nuances of older artists and gets confused by younger artists.
what about your gender/race/sexuality/disability etc.?
my gender effects my art since i do not notice a difference until it is pointed out while i perform.
when it comes to art, what would you tell your younger self?
people are praised for differences.
